128 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make a statement on the fact that 300 non-consultant hospital doctors will be affected by a June 2002 deadline when a number of non-EU doctors are set to come to the end of their period of temporary registration. [10664/02]

As the Deputy will be aware, I have published the Medical Practitioners Amendment Bill, 2002, which will be presented to the Dáil today. This Bill will address the issues relating to registration of doctors which have been raised by the Deputy.
