Vol. 551 No. 4

Written Answers. - Heritage Sites.

Brian O'Shea

Ceist:

182 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands her proposals to meet the concerns of the Waterford Archaeological and Historical Society regarding Grady's Yard and the Watergate (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10691/02]

The position has not changed to date and the planning application, which was lodged on 21 February, will not, I understand, be processed by the planning authority pending receipt of additional information. Therefore, it has not been referred to my Department for consideration. As stated in my previous reply, the Deputy will, of course, appreciate that the granting of planning permission in any particular case is a matter for the relevant planning authority, and not for my Department.
