Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Healy – the need for an extension to Mount Bruis national school, County Tipperary; (2) Deputy Durkan – the serious consequences for children and young adults attending St. Raphaels, Celbridge, County Kildare, and similar institutions arising from recent financial cutbacks; (3) Deputy Crawford – the urgent need for payment to be made to farmers whose animals were removed to a meat plant under the diseased animal eradication scheme; (4) Deputy Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny)– the delay in giving the go-ahead to Scoil Eoghain Uí Thuairisc in Carlow; (5) Deputy Quinn – the serious dissatisfaction among families in the Ringsend-Irishtown areas whose homes were damaged in recent flooding at the treatment they received from insurance companies; (6) Deputy Fitzgerald – the urgent need for insurance companies to deal with claims arising from the recent flooding in Ringsend and Irishtown; (7) Deputy Johnny Brady – the loss of 50 jobs in Complex Tooling and Moulding Limited, which will cease operations at its Kells facility at the end of June; (8) Deputy Gormley – the failure of the insurance companies to progress and settle claims by flood victims in Ringsend and Sandymount; (9) Deputy Gregory – the emergence of a heroin problem in locations outside of Dublin and the need to focus Garda resources on those supplying heroin.

The matters raised by Deputy Quinn, who will share time with Deputies Fitzgerald and Gormley, and Deputies Healy, Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny) and Crawford have been selected for discussion.
