Ceist:684 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide the necessary funding for the provision of a new community school in Ballinamore, County Leitrim, in 2002. [11275/02]
Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.
Officials in my Department have recently completed an analysis of the existing post-primary school facilities in Ballinamore, with a view towards determining the future location of the proposed new community school. To promote a consultative approach to this decision-making process, the management authorities of the three existing schools have been invited to meet officials of the post-primary building unit to discuss all of the options identified in the analysis. This meeting will be convened in the near future. The next step in the process will then be to determine the accommodation requirements of the new school and to embark on the architectural planning phase of the project.
