421 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the provision of a new school at Coláiste Cionn Torc, Castlepollard, County Westmeath; and the projected timescale for the proceeding to tender and the completion of the project. [13918/02]

In relation to the provision of a new school at Coláiste Cionn Torc, Castlepollard, County Westmeath, approval to proceed to tender for the construction contract was given to the school's management authority some time ago. My Department is currently awaiting the stage 6 documents, tender action and report.

McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science if stage 6 documentation has been approved for a building project at St. Mary's CBS secondary school, Mullingar; when this approval was given; if this project has been approved to go to tender stage; and the projected timescale for the completion of this project. In relation to the building project at St. Mary's CBS secondary school, Mullingar, County Westmeath, approval has issued to go to stage 6, tender action and report. My Department is awaiting the tender report at present.

McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department has approved that the building project at Coralstown national school, County Westmeath, should proceed to tender stage; the date of such approval; if tender documents have been approved by his Department; the date of this approval; and the projected timescale for the completion of this project. [13920/02]

Architectural planning for a proposed new three-classroom school at Coralstown, Mullingar, County Westmeath, is progressing. The project was included as part of an extensive building programme for 2002 which was approved earlier this year. Architectural planning will continue until the project is ready to go to tender, at which point my Department will be in contact with the school authorities.
