116 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Kildare is eligible for rehabilitative work of a therapeutic nature in view of the fact that this person is in receipt of invalidity pension; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14269/02]
Responsibility for the allocation of rehabilitative training and sheltered work places to individuals rests with the relevant health board, in consultation with the approved service providers. The determination of eligibility also rests with the health board, in consultation with the approved service providers. My Department has asked the regional chief executive officer of the ERHA to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
