Vol. 553 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Ned O'Keeffe

Ceist:

62 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a grant can be made available to a person (details supplied) in County Cork in respect of a recent purchase of a bulk tank. [14126/02]

There is no record of an application in my Department under the scheme for improvement in dairy hygiene standards for such grant aid.

Paul Connaughton

Ceist:

63 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a REP scheme payment has not issued to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14127/02]

The processing of some applications in the local office has been delayed because of a staff vacancy. Payment will issue to the person named within the next 21 days.

Seymour Crawford

Ceist:

64 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a case (details supplied) that was appealed in 2001 will be dealt with; and if the appeal is successful if interest will be paid on overdue payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14128/02]

The appeal in question is scheduled to be heard by the REPS national appeals committee at its next meeting. This should take place within a fortnight. There is no provision for the payment of interest under REPS.
