The pensionability of special classroom assistants is among a range of issues on pay and conditions of service to be considered in a forthcoming meeting between representatives of the trade union IMPACT and my Department, in the industrial relations context. In these circumstances it would be inappropriate for me to comment further on the matter at this time.
