256 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position of an application by a local authority (details supplied) for funding for refurbishment work in regard to its housing; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14958/02]
Athy Town Council's proposals for the refurbishment of its housing estates at Town Park-Carbery Park were approved in principle for funding under my Department's remedial works scheme in May 2001. Following examination of the tender documentation submitted by the council in April 2002, the council have been asked to re-assess certain aspects of the scheme. On receipt of this reassessment a decision on the project will issue as soon as possible.
