132 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food his plans to introduce a rescue package to assist vegetable and fruit growers in their present difficulties as a result of the weather conditions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14939/02]
The recent sustained spell of wet weather has caused significant difficulties for fruit and vegetable growers. However, difficulties have also been experienced to varying degrees by farmers in all production sectors throughout the country. I shall keep the situation under review in the light of developments over the coming period.
