Written Answers. - Broadcasting Policy.
The Broadcasting (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 2002 was passed on 20 June 2002. This statutory instrument, No. 299 of 2002, transferred responsibility for the implementation of broadcasting policy from the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands to my Department.
All of the staff of the broadcasting division of the former Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands have been transferred to my Department and staff deployed temporarily to support the Broadcasting Forum will continue to work with the forum until such time as its deliberations are complete.
