Ceist:

887 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the amount paid in legal fees by his Department in 1999, 2000, 2001 and to date in 2002; the person to whom payment was made; and the amount of payment in each case. [17299/02]

The amount paid in legal fees by my Department since its establishment last June is set out in the following table:

No legal fees were paid in 1999, 2000, 2001 or in 2002 by the Department in its former configuration as the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation.
