Eamon Gilmore
Ceist:92 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the Government's response to the finding of the Second Interim Report of the Tribunal of Inquiry into Certain Planning Matters and Payments that the ministerial directive obliging RTE to provide facilities to a company (details supplied) issued by the then Minister for Communications (details supplied) on 14 March 1989, was issued to advance the private interests of the promoters of the company and not to serve the public interest; the steps the Government intends to take to undo the commercial damage done to RTE as a result of the corrupt action of the then Minister; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
