Ceist:298 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government his proposals to introduce legislation or regulations to require all utility and telecom providers to place all new cabling underground; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17688/02]

There are no proposals for mandatory undergrounding of new cabling or of cables generally.
