113 Mr. O'Connor asked the Minister for Health and Children if he is giving priority attention to the need for a major redevelopment programme at Millbrook Lawns Health Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24, in view of the clear need for progress in the matter. [18640/02]
The prioritisation, planning and development of health centres under the national development plan, NDP, within its functional area, in line with funding available under the NDP is the responsibility of each health board or the Eastern Regional Health Authority. In the case of the health centre at Millbrook Lawns, Tallaght, this responsibility rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority.
That authority has advised me that it has afforded the Millbrook Lawns Health Centre a very high priority and has, in fact, advertised for the appointment of the design team. Responses to this advertisement have now been received. The authority has further advised me that, in order to facilitate the ongoing delivery of services from the existing centre all necessary repairs, maintenance and improvements are being made on an ongoing basis.
