124 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 who took his own life on the night of 24-25 July 2002; if his attention has further been drawn to the fact that this person was refused admission by St. Vincent's Hospital, the Mater Hospital and, despite his own and his father's request was refused admittance at the Ballymun Health Centre; if his attention has further been drawn to the grounds on which this person was refused admission by St. Vincent's, the Mater and the Ballymun Health Centre; if the family can obtain access to this person's files; and the action being taken in regard to a formal complaint lodged by this person's father with the East Coast Area Health Board. The issues raised by the Deputy are a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive officer to investigate the matter and reply to the Deputy directly.
