Vol. 555 No. 4

Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure.

Róisín Shortall

Ceist:

195 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs the total estimated cost of changes, including the dis-use of old stationery, the purchase of new letterheads, stationery, and changes to websites and so on and all other costs incurred as a result of the creation or change in her departmental name and responsibilities; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [18795/02]

In order to avoid incurring additional costs, the steps necessary to give effect to the change of name of the Department are being taken on a progressive basis. Accordingly, as existing stocks of forms, etc. are depleted, they are being replaced by stocks bearing the new name. Similarly, other aspects of the change of name – such as change of signage – will be implemented as opportunities arise. Therefore, it is not anticipated that the name change will result in additional costs arising for the Department.
