100 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if he will support a proposal made by the Irish Underwater Council for an upgrade of the recompression chamber at University Hospital Galway; if he will give an undertaking to provide funding for the proposal made by the Irish Underwater Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My predecessor received a proposal from the Irish Underwater Council regarding the hyperbaric chamber at University College Hospital, Galway. I understand the present position is that the Department of Health and Children has asked the Western Health Board to prepare an option appraisal and outline proposal for the replacement of the existing recompression chamber. When this is received the matter will be considered further.
