Ceist:

390 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science the 30 major primary school projects listed on his Department's website as approved to go to tender, which have in fact gone to tender; the date when tenders were sought for each of those projects; and the projects from that list which have been approved to commence works. Projects at the following schools have proceeded to tender: Killinkere, County Cavan; Scoil Aghina, County Cork; Dunmanway Model School, Grange Frankfield, Cork; Cnoch na Naomh, County Donegal; St. Finian's, Finglas, Dublin; Pope John Paul II, Malahide, Dublin; Scoil Mhuire, Ballymore Eustace, County Kildare; Our Lady's Abbey, Adare, County Limerick; St. Gussach's, County Longford; Kilasonna, County Longford; Tullyallen, County Louth; Clooneyquinn, County Roscommon; Ballyfeeney, County Roscommon; Roxboro, County Roscommon; Cappoquin Convent, County Waterford; and Scoil Ioseph Naofa, Templerainey, County Wicklow.

The position relating to progress on these and other projects on my Department's website at www.education.ie. will be updated at regular intervals.

391 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science the date on which approval was given to go to tender in relation to a school (details supplied) in County Westmeath; if all tender documents have been approved; the date of such approval; if the board of management has been approved to seek tenders for this project; the date of this approval; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20261/02]

A building project at the school referred to by the Deputy is progressing through architectural planning. As soon as architectural planning is completed a decision on the project proceeding to construction will be taken in the light of the financial allocation made available for the primary school building programme at the time.
