168 Ms M. Wallace asked the Minister for Education and Science the support available from his Department for the Stepping Stones ABA School, Kilcloon, County Meath; and the date upon which his Department received the formal application for funding for this school; and the matters outstanding before a decision can be taken regarding same. Representatives of the Stepping Stones project presented my Department with details of their funding requirements at a meeting on 16 October 2002. The Stepping Stones funding application is currently being considered by my Department. The level of funding which my Department will make available will reflect the range and level of service inputs required to cater for children with autism whose placement in this ABA facility is considered appropriate. My officials will be in further contact with Stepping Stones in relation to this matter in the near future.
