Ceist:

275 Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Education and Science if it is his Department's intention to proceed with the after-school facility which is part of the agreed project for the Cherry Orchard primary school; and if so, when work is likely to commence and to be completed. [21161/02]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 272 to 275, inclusive, together.

Architectural planning for a building project to provide a new primary school at Cherry Orchard national school is at an advanced stage. The project includes the provision of an early start pre-school facility and a special care unit.

Decisions on projects proceeding to tender and construction in 2003 will be taken in the light of the annual allocation for the primary school building programme in the 2003 estimates, taking into account the contractual commitments on projects approved and the priority to be afforded to individual projects.
