Ceist:

343 Mr. O'Connor asked the Minister for Health and Children if, in conjunction with the South-Western Area Health Board Authority, he will provide for the future long-term care bed needs of the elderly in the general Tallaght region, noting the pressure on beds in the Tallaght Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the provision of health services in Dublin is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has been informed by the authority that it has a range of plans under private-public partnership to develop three new community nursing units in the South West Area Health Board.
