383 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of gardaí, all ranks, per divisional area; and the ratio of civilians to gardaí for each divisional area, using the census 2002 preliminary report population figures; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have been informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the allocation of resources to individual areas, that the number of gardaí (all ranks) per operational divisional area as of 6 November 2002, is set out as follows:
