95 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance the total receipts in respect of income tax revenue for 2002 up to the latest date for which figures are available; the way in which this compares with the same period in 2001; the way in which this compares with the figures projected in the budget; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Income tax receipts to the end of October this year are €6,757 million. This compares with receipts of €7,449 million for the same period in 2001, which is a fall of 9.3%. The budget day target of €9,446 million for the whole year implies an increase of 1.1% in income tax receipts over 2001.
