126 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance if he or his Department can accurately predict current and capital spending outturns for the year ending 31 December 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter having regard to the experience of 2002. [21342/02]

The 2003 Abridged Estimates Volume will be published on Thursday next, 14 November. My aim and expectation is that total voted expenditure this year will come in on or close to target. I am confident that the same result can be achieved next year.
