371 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason an application for an enhanced nursing home subvention on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Cork has not been processed or decided upon despite the fact that the application was made early in 2002. [22684/02]

The responsibility for the provision of health services in the Cork area rests with the Southern Health Board. In this regard, my Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the case raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
