Ceist:

325 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children if, in view of the urgent need for promised funding to be granted from the national development plan to the CASP centre in Clondalkin, County Dublin, providing services to drug addicts, funding will be provided to end the delay which is preventing CASP staff from moving into their new purpose-built premises; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin)

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my Department recently approved funding for the CASP centre in Clondalkin. This funding amounts to my Department's financial contribution to the overall project. I am advised by the South-Western Area Health Board of the Eastern Regional Health Authority that arrangements are being made to move CASP into their new premises as soon as possible.
