203 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will defray the costs of Fingal County Council in publicising the waste reduction and recycling programme as requested by letter of 19 February. [24110/02]
In general, publicity costs in association with the implementation of initiatives within the regional waste management plans are a matter for the relevant local authorities. Such costs are not provided for under my Department's capital grants scheme for recycling infrastructure. Therefore, it would not be possible for my Department to defray the costs referred to.
