322 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his plans to introduce a ten year gun licence as reported in a news paper (details supplied) on 5 November; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25075/02]

As I have previously indicated to this House I am currently reviewing the firearms licensing policy. The issue which the Deputy has raised forms part of that review.
