Ceist:126 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will re-examine an application for a medical card by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [25220/02]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 125 and 126 together.
The determination of eligibility of persons for medical cards is, by legislation, the responsibility of the chief executive officer of the relevant health board. Accordingly, these cases have been referred to the South Eastern Health Board for investigation and direct reply to the Deputy.
