147 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Education and Science if an application has been received in his Department for an extension to a school (details supplied) in County Donegal; the stage of planning it has reached; when it is likely that finance for the extension can be allocated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The school to which the Deputy refers is to receive additional accommodation to cater for a projected long-term enrolment of 200 pupils. This project is currently in architectural planning.
The stage 3 submission, developed sketch scheme, is currently being examined by the Department's staff. The question of proceeding to stage 4, detail design, will be considered when all budgetary issues for 2003 have been finalised.
