Higgins asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if the principle of public access to meetings to local authorities applies to all such bodies to which local authorities nominates members; if this applies in the specific instance to the Corrib Navigation Trustees to which local authorities in the Corrib catchment area make appointments; if he will clarify such procedures as which the latter operates; the area in which the responsibility for the Eglinton Canal and its towpath lies; and if he has satisfied himself with these arrangements.
