The visa application in question was refused because it was not established, on the basis of the documentation supplied to my Department, that the applicant would observe the conditions of a visit visa. In particular it was felt that the applicant had not displayed sufficient evidence of her obligations to return home following her proposed visit. The applicant stated on her visa application form that her husband was in the State. However, no marriage certificate or documentation to show the basis on which the husband is resident in the State were enclosed in support of her application.
It is open to the applicant to appeal against the refusal of the visa application by writing to the visa appeals officer in my Department together with additional supporting documentation.
