241 Mr. English asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the situation re the proposed new bridge and road at Athlumney, Navan, County Meath; and the position in relation to the planning of a new bridge over the Boyne, the funding for and the commencement date for the new bridge. [26979/02]
Meath County Council received more than €653,000 in funding for phase I of the Athlumney bridge scheme in 2001, and a further €918, 500 for phase II of the scheme in 2002 under my Department's programme to support housing and other related development.
I intend to announce details of the 2003 non-national road grant allocations, including allocations under the programme of grants to support housing and other related development, early next year.
