Ardmore Harbour is owned by Waterford County Council and responsibility for its maintenance and development rests with the local authority in the first instance.
In November 2001 Waterford County Council submitted an application to my Department for funding an extension of the pier at Ardmore Boat Cove. There is no funding available in 2003 for these works. The question of funding works at Ardmore Boat Cove in the post-2003 period will be considered in the context of the funding available and overall national priorities.
