Vol. 560 No. 1

Written Answers. - Funding Applications.

John McGuinness

Ceist:

722 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department is in receipt of applications for funding from the South-Eastern Health Board for projects (details supplied); the timeframe for consideration of the projects; and when a decision will be made in each one. [1868/03]

A proposal for the upgrading of a ward to provide for an elderly unit at St. Canice's Hospital, Kilkenny, and a proposal to provide a car park at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, have been submitted to my Department by the South Eastern Health Board.

These proposals will fall to be considered in the context of the funding available to the board under the national development plan and in the light of other priorities for development identified by the board. I expect that, following consideration of these proposals by my Department, they will be the subject of discussions between officials of the board and my Department.

Question No. 723 answered with Question No. 625.
