Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure.
It is understood that the Deputy's question refers to the recent information campaign undertaken by my Department to advise our customers in relation to the payment of the budget increases in social welfare payments. The cost of this campaign was €112,919 including VAT.
The information campaign consisted of advertorials in the daily and Sunday newspapers. This method of advertising has, based on experience, proved effective in getting across to customers the different arrangements for the payment of increases.
