Vol. 560 No. 2

Written Answers. - Sports Capital Programme.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

58 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism his plans for the provision of funding for any other sports stadia throughout the country; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2238/03]

On the question of a national stadium, I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 2, reference 2226/03, on today's Order Paper. In relation to other stadia, it is open to sporting bodies to submit applications for funding under the national lottery-funded sports capital programme, which is administered by my Department. I intend to advertise and invite applications to the 2003 programme in March this year.

Bernard J. Durkan
