Ceist:

163 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the special areas of conservation designated lands which have been purchased by Dúchas since 1992 in County Roscommon; the acreage involved; the persons from whom they were purchased; and the price paid in each case. [2466/03]

The designation of sites as candidate special areas of conservation, cSAC, commenced in 1997. Since then, my Department has acquired a total of 348.02 acres of lands in cSACs in County Roscommon. Details of the acreage involved and amount paid in each case are shown on the accompanying schedule; personal details are excluded.

SAC lands in County Roscommon purchased by the Minister for the Environment and Local Government from 1997 to date are set out in the following table:
