Ceist:189 Mr. Cuffe asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the quantity and cost of stationery used by her Department every year; and the proportion of that stationery which is recycled paper. [2503/03]
Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure.
The cost of all stationery used in the Department in 2002 was €185,423. It is not possible to disaggregate the quantity of stationery from the overall cost. None of the paper used was recycled.
The Department published a sustainable development strategy in December 2002 to, among other things, develop and implement an environmental management plan for the Department. The question of the use of recycled paper will be addressed as part of the Department's move to green purchasing and the purchase of recycled material where possible.
