Ceist:

225 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if a company (details supplied) has been advised of the jurisdictional implications of the project which it is currently seeking to advance; and if he will make a statement on the matter in view of the fact that there is a clear issue to be addressed as a matter of urgency. [2946/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 220 and 225 together.

In relation to the jurisdictional implications of the proposed project, the consortium and the rel evant authorities have been notified that the development and operation of the facility envisaged at the site proposed may only be carried out in accordance with the terms of a foreshore lease granted pursuant to the Foreshore Acts 1933 to 1998. My Department will continue to work closely with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the office of the Attorney General in addressing matters relating to the proposed development.
