285 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if an application for registration by a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be immediately dealt with; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2971/03]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for first registration which was lodged on 22 August, 1997. Dealing No. D1997XS006276J refers.
I am further informed that the latest queries, which issued to the lodging solicitors on 10 July, 2001, were replied to in December, 2002.
I understand that due to the complicated nature of these type of cases, which require examination of an applicant's entitlement to the property concerned, it is not possible to estimate a date of completion at this time. However, I assure the Deputy that the dealing is receiving attention and will be completed as soon as possible.
