Ceist:189 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when farmers who are due payment from a company (details supplied) will receive their money; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2863/03]
Written Answers. - Compensation Payments.
I am advised that legally I have no obligation to compensate farmers for the non-payment by this company for the slaughter of reactor or other animals.
Nevertheless, I am having the matter examined further and will be in touch with the Deputy shortly.
