Ceist:200 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he grants funding to any organisation whose membership is secret or unknown; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2873/03]

The Department of Foreign Affairs grants funding to organisations in accordance with clear and transparent procedures. In particular, these are designed to ensure that the specific conditions of the grant can and will be met.
The procedures involved require that all relevant information, related both to the organisations and the individuals in question, should be submitted with the funding application.
