305 Ms Burton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the population catchment served by each Garda station in the greater Dublin area; and the number of gardaí attached to each station for 2002 and to date in 2003. [3839/03]
I have been informed by the Garda authorities that it is not possible to give the population figure for the area served by individual Garda stations as Garda divisional-district boundaries do not correspond to district electoral divisions.
In reply to the Deputy's Question No. 374 on 4 February 2003, I provided details of numbers of gardaí attached to each station for each year from 1997 to 2002 quoting the figures as at 31 December in each year. The information sought by the Deputy in respect of numbers currently assigned is being compiled and will be forwarded as soon as possible.
