161 Mr. Kehoe asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she was in contact with a company (details supplied) over the past year; if so, the dates and the matters discussed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4973/03]
I am informed by Enterprise Ireland that three meetings took place with the company in February, November and December 2002.
The meetings covered a variety of issues. Initially, the company indicated its intention to close three of its five divisions. However, these were subsequently purchased by another company. In November a management buy-out was under discussion but there have been no further developments on this issue to date. Most recently, the company sought Enterprise Ireland assistance in sourcing a particular component and Enterprise Ireland is currently working with the company in this regard.
