I propose to take Questions Nos. 266 and 267 together.
The interim report on flooding in the Fingal area of the River Tolka catchment was received by my officials earlier this month. It is currently being examined and meetings have already taken place between officials of the Office of Public Works and Fingal County Council to discuss various aspects of the report. Further meetings will take place in order to agree a package of works, which can be undertaken this year and which will provide a substantial degree of protection should further flood events occur.
It is not possible at this stage to say what the costs of any works will be before any agreement is reached on the scope of the works. I am conscious also that the full report on the River Tolka catchment is due to be completed in May and will provide additional information on which decisions in relation to the entire Tolka catchment can be made.
