357 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the secondary legislation outstanding within his Department; the function of each piece of secondary legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5523/03]
The provisions of the National Cultural Institutions Act 1997, No. 11 of 1997, relating to the National Library and National Museum and some other provisions of that Act have yet to be implemented. A number of statutory instruments will be required in order to bring into operation the outstanding sections of the Act. Staff resources have recently been assigned within my Department to proceed with this work.
Apart from the foregoing there is no further secondary legislation outstanding in this Department.
