128 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the comparison of actual costs on public private partnership projects completed to date, with the comparative cost of undertaking these projects within the public sector. [5474/03]
This is a matter in the first instance for the individual Ministers concerned – to date the Ministers directly concerned would be the Minister for Education and Science and the Minister for the Environment and Local Government.
I can inform the Deputy that two privately financed projects have been signed to date and these are both in the education area. A number of design, build and operate projects directly funded by the Exchequer have also been developed in the environment area.
