124 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the latest reports or information he has received from the consular officers who have been attending the trial of three Irish men facing serious charges in Colombia; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6434/03]
The Irish ambassador to Colombia has attended the last two stages of the trial of the three Irish men in Colombia as my official representative. He reported fully on the last hearing of the trial, and this report is being considered by my Department, including at the legal level. As the trial is continuing, it would be inappropriate for me to comment on the report at this stage.
